Blake Griffin scored 39 points and the Clippers dropped the host Lakers to 0-3 for the first time since 1978.
Jamal Crawford added 22 points off the bench, including seven in the final five minutes, and J.J. Redick added 15 points for the Clippers. Chris Paul delivered 12 points and 10 assists and DeAndre Jordan also produced a double-double of 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Jordan Hill scored 13 of his 23 points in the third quarter, when the Lakers made their run. Kobe Bryant added 21 points and Jeremy Lin finished with 17 and nine assists for the Lakers.
The Lakers took a four-point lead into the final quarter after Crawford drained a 3 at the end of the third. The Lakers managed to avoid falling behind until Crawford made one of two free throws with four minutes left for a 107-106 lead.
Crawford nailed a 3-pointer with 1:37 remaining and Griffin sank two free throws with 21 seconds on the clock, both times extending the lead back to three. Redick made two more free throws with 16 seconds remaining after Bryant missed a 3-point attempt on the other end and the Lakers were out of comebacks.
GAME NOTEBOOK: The Clippers are 19-for-63 from 3-point range through the first two games. … The Clippers led by as much as 13 with eight minutes left in the first half but went without a field goal for more than four minutes and the Lakers were able to trim the deficit to 62-56 at the half. … Bryant was 1-for-7 from the floor in the fourth quarter while primarily guarded by Paul.
