DeMarcus Cousins piled up 33 points, 17 rebounds, four steals and four blocks as Sacramento held off visiting Philadelphia.

Rudy Gay added 21 points and eight boards as the Kings secured their first three-game winning streak since November. Ray McCallum contributed 11 points and six assists for Sacramento, which overcame a 36.1 percent shooting effort.

Robert Covington scored 12 of his 21 points in a flurry in the middle of the fourth quarter for the 76ers, who dropped their 16th straight road game. Thomas Robinson added a career-high 16 points and eight rebounds while Nerlens Noel recorded 14 points, 10 rebounds and six blocks for Philadelphia.

Covington buried three 3-pointers and converted a three-point play on four consecutive possessions in a personal 12-2 run that put the 76ers on top 103-100 with 6:11 left. Philadelphia went the rest of the way without a field goal and McCallum gave the Kings the lead back on a basket with 48 seconds left before sealing the win with a steal on the 76ers’ final possession.

Isaiah Canaan closed a blistering first half with 3-pointer as Philadelphia shot 56.3 percent from the field and 8-of-16 from beyond the arc in the first 24 minutes to take a 70-63 lead at the break. JaKarr Sampson’s 3-pointer gave the 76ers a 78-68 edge with 8:41 left in the third before they went cold from the field as the Kings surged ahead with a 14-0 run and went into the fourth on top 87-84.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Cousins was 8-of-27 from the field but hit 17-of-19 free-throw attempts as the Kings went to the line 38 times to 21 for the 76ers. … Philadelphia PG Ish Smith committed seven of the team’s 21 turnovers. … Gay (12,005) went over 12,000 points for his career.
