Klay Thompson knocked down five 3-pointers en route to 21 points as Golden State breezed past host Dallas.
Marreese Speights and Andre Iguodala each scored 18 points off the bench for the Warriors, who won their 12th straight game. Harrison Barnes had 13 points and 10 rebounds while Stephen Curry scored 11 points as Golden State improved its NBA-best record to 63-13.
Dirk Nowitzki scored 18 points while J.J. Barea and Monta Ellis added 14 apiece for the Mavericks, who lost Rajon Rondo to a hyperextended knee in the third quarter. Tyson Chandler collected 10 points and 13 rebounds as Dallas fell for the sixth time in eight games.
Speights’ 35-foot heave at the buzzer capped a 22-11 run ending the second quarter and sent the Warriors into the break up 59-48. Thompson hit a 3-pointer on each of Golden State’s first two possessions of the third quarter to extend the lead to 15 points and the Warriors went into the fourth in front 90-76.
Speights connected from beyond the arc to give him multiple 3-pointers for the first time in his career with 7:41 left, extending the lead to 104-87. Thompson’s 3-pointer with 4:33 to play made it a 113-94 gap as Golden State put it away.
GAME NOTEBOOK: The Warriors took all four meetings with the Mavericks to claim their first season sweep in the series since the 2006-07 season. … Dallas attempted 54 free-throws, the most for a Golden State opponent this season, and hit 39. … The Warriors’ 12-game winning streak is the second-longest in franchise history after a 16-game streak earlier this season.
