DeRozan's 42 point help Raptors solve Bulls in OT win

TORONTO -- DeMar DeRozan scored 42 points, including the go-ahead basket in overtime, and the Toronto Raptors completed a comeback with a 122-120 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday night.

The victory snapped the Raptors' 11-game losing streak to the Bulls, including two losses this season.

The game featured a fight late in the third quarter between Chicago's Robin Lopez and Toronto's Serge Ibaka. Both were ejected.

Lopez finished with 12 points and Ibaka had 16 points.

The Bulls stretched a five-point halftime lead to a 15-point advantage after three quarters.

The Raptors cut the lead to four on two free throws by Cory Joseph with 3:27 to play in the fourth quarter. A layup by Fred VanVleet reduced the lead to two points.

After a Chicago miss, Toronto tied it on a layup by Joseph with 1:50 to play. Jimmy Butler responded with a jump shot and a layup to give the Bulls a four-point lead with 1:12 to play.

DeRozan's jumper cut the lead to two. He then tied the score on a layup with 37.3 seconds to play but missed the free throw. After both teams missed shots, the game went to overtime tied 113-113.

DeRozan hit a turnaround jumper with 1:23 to play in overtime to give Toronto a 117-115 lead. Patrick Patterson's layup put Toronto ahead by four with 44.7 seconds in overtime.

Butler hit a 3-pointer with 2.8 seconds left in overtime to cut Toronto's lead to two.

Butler had 37 points and 10 rebounds to lead Chicago (33-38). Rajon Rondo added 24 points for the Bulls and Paul Zipser added 12.

Joseph added 19 points for the Raptors (42-29), who have won three in a row. P.J. Tucker added eight points and 12 rebounds.

Rondo scored 12 points as the Bulls led 31-17 after the first quarter. Ibaka also had 12 points to lead the Raptors in the quarter. Butler and DeRozan had 10 points each in the first quarter.

Zipser's 3-pointer gave Chicago a 16-point lead with 6:50 to play in the first half.

The Raptors pulled to six points with 3:44 left in the half when Joseph drained a 3-pointer from the corner.

DeRozan closed the scoring in the first half with a 32-foot jumper with 2.5 seconds left, trimming the Bulls' lead to 59-54.

Rondo led the first-half scoring with 19 points. DeRozan scored 15 points in the opening half.

Butler made two free throws with 5:29 in the third quarter and Chicago led by 12 points.

After Butler's 3-pointer gave the Bulls a 16-point lead with 3:59 to play, a skirmish broke out between Ibaka and Lopez near the basket. Lopez and Ibaka were ejected on fighting technical fouls.

The third quarter ended with the Bulls leading 94-79. Butler had 15 points in the quarter.

The Raptors scored the first four points of the fourth quarter.

Michael Carter-Williams hit a 3-pointer to get the Chicago lead back to 15. DeRozan's running layup cut the lead to nine with 5:09 left and Tucker's 3-pointer got the lead down to six.
