Browns Place WR Corey Coleman on IR, Designated to Return

September 19th, 2017

The Cleveland Browns on Tuesday placed wide receiver Corey Coleman on injured reserve with a designation to return after he suffered a broken hand in the team's loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

Considering it was reported earlier in the week that he would have to undergo surgery, this isn't a major surprise. Coleman will now be out for at least the next eight weeks. With him sidelined, expect Rashard Higgins, who recorded seven catches for 95 yards on Sunday, to play a larger role on offense in Cleveland.
