Things have gone down hill since Arthur Jones was a major free agent during the 2014 offseason. He has appeared in just nine games in the first two years of his deal with the Indianapolis Colts and now the number of games missed will grow as the NFL announced Jones has been suspended the first four games of the NFL season for violating the league's substance-abuse policy.
Jones played in just nine games in the 2014 season, then missed all of 2015 with torn ankle ligaments. The 30-year-old defensive tackle is still in the midst of a five-year deal that will see him receive a large pay raise in the fourth and fifth years of his contract, when he will make $6.25 million this season. While Jones roster spot is safe this year, if more injuries or further trouble derail him in the future, he could find himself on the waiver wire.
