Ending what had been some drama in New Jersey, the New York Jets officially named veteran Josh McCown as the team's Week 1 starter. McCown did not play in the Jets' third preseason game. Instead, the team decided to roll with youngsters Christian Hackenberg and Bryce Petty

The results were disastrous. Hackenberg threw two pick-six's in the first half, while Petty himself went down with a sprained MCL.

This helped pave the way for McCown to start.

Over the course of the past three seasons, McCown has put up 29 touchdowns compared to 24 interceptions and boasts a 3-20 record as a starter. Needless to say, he's not a fantasy relevant option here.
