Lions RB Ameer Abdullah Expected to Miss Sunday's Game

Just hours before the Detroit Lions are set to face the Baltimore Ravens, it's now expected starting running back Ameer Abdullah will be ruled inactive due to a neck injury. In his absence, Theo Riddick is expected to start in his place.

Facing a Ravens' defense that allows the fewest receptions to opposing running backs (40) this season, this isn't a matchup that lines up well for Riddick's skill set. While he should see plenty of carries, he'll share work with Dwayne Washington and Zach Zenner, limiting his touchdown upside and hurting his potential ceiling. So even with Abdullah out, fantasy owners will want to avoid Riddick this week.
