Out since Week 2 of the preseason with an ankle sprain, New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. did not return to the practice field as the team started its preparation for Week 1 against the Dallas Cowboys. 

At this point, OBJ is more hopeful than optimistic that he will be able to go. We'll have a better understanding of where he stands once Friday comes calling. If Beckham Jr. has not practiced by then, he'll likely miss what would be an otherwise stellar matchup against a poor Cowboys pass defense.
