Patriots QB Jacoby Brissett Needs Thumb Surgery

As if the New England Patriots quarterback situation didn't take enough hits, the team was dealt another one on Friday. Jacoby Brissett, who made his first NFL start in Thursday's 27-0 win over the Houston Texans, suffered a torn ligament in his right thumb in the second half and it will require surgery. As you know, Brissett started in the place of Jimmy Garoppolo, who suffered a sprained AC joint last Sunday, who started in the place of a suspended Tom Brady.

At this point, it's unknown who New England will start at quarterback in Week 4 against the Buffalo Bills. They have 10 days to prepare, have Julian Edelman as an emergency quarterback and probably will still win by double digits because Bill Belichick is the greatest coach ever.
