Next in our draft video breakdown, Luke Inman breaks down TCU linebacker Paul Dawson. Because of Dawson's instincts and productivity, many had him pegged as a first-round pick early on in the pre draft process. However, after a dissapointing combine where Dawson ran a sluggish 40-time and was sub-par in nearly every event, people have now dropped him well out of the first-round, and even have gone as far as pushing him past day-two altogether.
The former TCU linebacker uses incredible quickness and agility to knife his way through blockers and attack the quarterback on the blitz.
But as Inman explains, while he played inside in college Dawson is best suited as a WILL in a 4-3 defense on the outside, where he can't get washed out against bigger offensive-lineman when stopping the run. With his production and success after being named Big-12 DPOY, teams are especially intrigued by Dawson's pursuit skill, awareness and ability to make big plays.
Stay tuned for more "A Prospect a Day" breakdowns by Inman as the draft inches closer.
