Brandon Weeden Puts up Big Fantasy Day in First Win Since 2012

Making his first start as a member of the Houston Texans after starting multiple games for the Dallas Cowboys earlier this year, Brandon Weeden earned his first win in a starting appearance since December of 2012. He had lost 11 consecutive starts over the course of the past three seasons.

Weeden's three-touchdown performance also helped Houston pull closer to the AFC South title. A win by the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday night would clinch the division. If not, it will come down to Week 17 with both the Texans and Indianapolis Colts boasting an opportunity to grab the division crown.

For his part, Weeden completed 15-of-24 passes for 200 yards with two touchdowns and zero picks. He added a touchdown on the ground in a 34-6 win over the hapless Tennessee Titans.

The former first-round bust connected on seven completions for 117 yards and a touchdown with top receiver DeAndre Hopkins

Overall, Weeden completed the early afternoon slate of action as the third-best fantasy quarterback.

If you had money on him putting up this type of performance, good for you.

On a side note, there is a possibility that Weeden will start the team's regular season finale against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

No, we aren't recommending him as a DFS play. It's just crazy to think about what we accomplished Sunday after being thrown out like trash by the Dallas Cowboys earlier this year.
