Deone Bucannon's Role with the Arizona Cardinals in 2014

Deone Bucannon was the 27th overall pick this year taken by the Arizona Cardinals. Bucannon is a 6’1” 211 lbs safety that is extremely physical and loves to play in the box and go for the big hit.

During this past season at Washington State, Bucannon registered 114 tackles, three forced fumbles and tied for the team lead in interceptions.

The Cardinals already had a good defense to start and adding a player like Bucannon in a secondary that already has Patrick Peterson and Tyrann Mathieu gives defensive coordinator Todd Bowles plenty of options to be creative in the back end of the defense.

Look for Bowles too call Bucannon’s name on plenty of blitzes along with Bucannon to be an impact player for the rush defense this year.

Cardinals fan’s should have plenty of big hits to stand up and cheer about this fall, and have a promising secondary looking forward for years to come.
