Dolphins Fear Cameron Wake has a Torn Achilles

Miami Dolphins defensive end Cameron Wake was doing his thing against the New England Patriots in the first half on Thursday — getting to Tom Brady for a first half sack. It was his seventh sack in nine quarters of action since Dan Campbell took over as the team's head coach.

Then, in an instant, Wake was on the ground withering in pain with an unspecified foot injury. He was helped off the field by trainers before being carted to the locker room.

Following the 36-7 loss to the Patriots, Wake was seen leaving Miami's locker room in crutches:

The Dolphins now fear that Wake will be lost for the season with a torn Achilles. It's a major blow for a squad that entered Thursday riding high following a two-game winning streak. Needless to say, interim head coach Dan Campbell has his work cut out for him to keep spirits high in South Beach.
