New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees may have suffered a torn plantar fascia in Monday's loss to the Detroit Lions, but this hasn't stopped him from preparing to play this week against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Considering this is nearly the same injury that Peyton Manning has missed multiple weeks with, I wouldn't hold out a ton of hope that Brees will be able to play Sunday.

And in reality, it's not going to be his decision. The Saints still have an investment in the veteran quarterback, and likely don't want to risk further injury to the foot. That's only magnified by the fact that New Orleans heads into Week 16 eliminated from playoff contention. 

If Brees is able to go, he will be a mid-tier QB1 option against a Jacksonville Jaguars defense that has allowed the sixth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. He would also be a viable option in DFS formats.
