San Diego Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen will officially miss the remainder of the 2015 season after the team placed him on injured reserve on Tuesday.
Allen suffered a lacerated kidney against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday and did not return. The good news here is that San Diego's top pass catcher is expected to make a full recovery following the serious injury.
Allen, 23, has recorded 67 receptions for 725 yards and four touchdowns in eight games this season.
With Allen sidelined for the season, both Stevie Johnson and Malcom Floyd are set to be the team's starting receivers moving forward — the latter of whom becomes a must add on the fantasy waiver wire. As we mentioned earlier today, Dontrelle Inman also becomes a potential add in deeper leagues.
