Cardinals at Eagles

THE STORY: The Arizona Cardinals go for their first road win of the season when they take on the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday. Arizona is 0-4 away from home but ended its overall six-game losing streak last Sunday with a 19-13 overtime triumph over St. Louis in which its special teams came up huge, blocking a game-winning field-goal attempt as time expired in the fourth quarter and winning on a 99-yard punt return in overtime. Conversely, Philadelphia squandered a fourth-quarter lead for the fourth time this season en route to a 30-24 loss to Chicago on Monday night. The setback dropped the Eagles to 1-3 at home. Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb is unlikely to play against his former team due to turf toe and a bone bruise in his right foot.

ABOUT THE CARDINALS (2-6): Arizona can thank its special teams for last week's improbable victory. Calais Campbell blocked Rams kicker Josh Brown's 42-yard field-goal attempt at the end of the fourth quarter, and rookie Patrick Peterson became the second player in NFL history to return a punt for a touchdown in overtime. The other was Kansas City's Tamarick Vanover against San Diego in 1995. It was Peterson's third punt-return TD, leaving him one shy of the NFL record set by Jack Christiansen in 1951 and matched by Rick Upchurch (1976) and Devin Hester (2007). In just eight games, Peterson has tied the club mark for career punt-return scores held by Ollie Matson and Vai Sikahema.

ABOUT THE EAGLES (3-5): Michael Vick had a field day in his last meeting with the Cardinals, throwing for 153 yards and running for 101. He has registered 100-plus yards both passing and rushing eight times in his career thus far. LeSean McCoy's rushing touchdown in Monday's loss marked the eighth straight game in which he has found the end zone, tying the Eagles record set in 1947 by Hall of Famer Steve Van Buren. McCoy is the first running back with a TD in each of his team's first eight contests since Dallas' Emmitt Smith accomplished the feat in 1999.

EXTRA POINTS:

1. Vick has thrown just one touchdown pass in the fourth quarter this season.

2. Four of Arizona's six losses this year have been by four points or less.

3. The home team has won each of the last four games in the all-time series.
