Cardinals at Rams
THE STORY: The Arizona Cardinals could have their starting quarterback on the field Sunday when they attempt to continue their mastery of the St. Louis Rams. Kevin Kolb, who has missed Arizona's last three games with turf toe and a bruised right foot, participated in practice Wednesday and is optimistic regarding his ability to play against St. Louis. In Kolb's absence, backup John Skelton led the Cardinals to two victories before a 23-7 loss at San Francisco last Sunday. Arizona is just 1-5 on the road this season but has won 10 of its last 11 meetings with the Rams, including a thrilling 19-13 overtime win at home on Nov. 6 that ended on a 99-yard punt return for a touchdown by Patrick Peterson. St. Louis, which is 1-4 at home, won two of three before suffering a 24-7 loss to Seattle last weekend.

ABOUT THE CARDINALS (3-7): Arizona's win over St. Louis three weeks ago ended its six-game losing streak. Nose tackle Dan Williams is done for the season as he was placed on injured reserve after breaking his left arm against San Francisco last week. Right tackle Brandon Keith is questionable for the matchup with the Rams with a concussion. Adrian Wilson is one of five safeties in NFL history with at least 25 interceptions (26) and 20 sacks (22.5).
ABOUT THE RAMS (2-8): St. Louis is riddled with injuries at the tackle position. Rodger Saffold is on injured reserve (pectoral muscle), fellow starter Jason Smith has a concussion and backup Mark LeVoir is out two to four weeks (pectoral). Running back Steven Jackson has averaged 116 yards from scrimmage per game since 2006, tops in the league for players with at least 50 games played.
EXTRA POINTS:
1. Arizona feels right at home at the Edward Jones Dome as it has won its last six visits.
2. Jackson had his string of three consecutive games with over 125 yards rushing snapped last week as he gained only 42 on 15 carries against Seattle.
3. Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald has 13 career touchdowns vs. St. Louis, his highest total against any opponent.
