Packers 34, 49ers 16

Aaron Rodgers shook off a slow start to throw three touchdown passes and the Green Bay Packers ripped the San Francisco 49ers 34-16 at Lambeau Field on Sunday afternoon.

The Packers trailed 6-0 midway through the second quarter before Rodgers heated up. He hit Greg Jennings for a 57-yard score - the first of two touchdown receptions for Jennings on the day - and Green Bay never trailed again.

After John Kuhn scored from a yard out, San Francisco quarterback Troy Smith hooked up with tight end Vernon Davis for a 66-yard touchdown late in the second quarter to trim the deficit to 14-13.

But Rodgers began the third quarter with another long scoring pass, this time to Donald Driver from 61 yards out.

Jeff Reed booted his third field goal for San Francisco (4-8) to close the gap to 21-16 before Green Bay (8-4) rolled off 13 straight points to put the game away.

Rodgers finished 21 for 30 passing for 298 yards. His third scoring pass was a 1-yarder to Jennings late in the third quarter. Jennings finished with six catches for 122 yards.

Brian Westbrook, who ran for 136 yards last week replacing the injured Frank Gore, gained just 31 yards on nine carries against the Packers. Davis caught four passes for 126 yards.
