Sabres at Flames

The Calgary Flames had their winning streak halted last time out but still carry an eight-game point streak into Monday's contest against the visiting Buffalo Sabres. Calgary had won seven straight before beginning its three-game homestand with a 2-1 shootout loss to Winnipeg on Saturday.

Defenseman TJ Brodie scored the lone goal for the Flames, who have not lost in regulation since dropping a 2-1 decision at Anaheim on Dec. 29. Buffalo's struggles continued Saturday as it was trounced 7-1 at home by Dallas for its seventh setback in eight games this month (1-6-1). The Sabres are last in the Eastern Conference with 31 points and tied with Arizona for the fewest in the entire league. Jack Eichel set up the lone tally in the loss to the Stars, giving him three goals and six assists during his five-game point streak.
