Islanders at Coyotes

The New York Islanders got off to a rousing start on a three-game road trip and look to continue their recent success away from home Monday as they visit the Arizona Coyotes. New York posted its third straight road win following a seven-game slide in opposing arenas when it rolled past Chicago 7-3 on Saturday.

Rookie defenseman Ryan Pulock led the charge for the Islanders, recording a goal and four assists for his first career performance with more than two points. Arizona is kicking off a three-game homestand after ending its five-game slide (0-1-4) in strong fashion on Saturday. Christian Dvorak scored twice to end his 10-game drought as the Coyotes halted their 12-game losing streak against St. Louis with a 5-2 road victory. Arizona is tied with Buffalo for last in the NHL with 31 points, but has earned one in three of its last four games at home (1-1-2).

ABOUT THE ISLANDERS (24-20-4): Anthony Beauvillier scored two power-play goals Saturday to become the seventh member of the team to reach double digits in tallies (10). Pulock is the first rookie defenseman in franchise history - and eighth in NHL history - to record a five-point effort and just the fourth blue-liner in team annals to notch five points in a contest, joining Denis Potvin (five times), Stefan Persson and Uwe Krupp.

ABOUT THE COYOTES (11-28-9): Rookie Clayton Keller registered a pair of assists against the Blues to increase his team-leading total to 36 points but has gone seven games without a goal. Brad Richardson has collected three points in his last five contests and is two shy of 200 for his career.
