Stars at Kings

Second place in the Pacific Division and home-ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs still are within reach for the Los Angeles Kings as they conclude the regular season Saturday against the visiting Dallas Stars. The Kings will need help to achieve their goal, however, as they look to complete a perfect three-game homestand.

Los Angeles trails Anaheim by one point for third in the division and is two behind second-place San Jose but owns the tiebreaker against both clubs. The Kings, who have won four straight at home, are coming off a 5-4 overtime win over Minnesota on Thursday that extended their point streak to five games (4-0-1). Dustin Brown was the hero as he scored his fourth goal of the contest 23 seconds into the extra session to set a new career high of 61 points. Dallas, which will miss the playoffs for the eighth time in 10 seasons, is coming off a 5-3 setback at Anaheim on Friday that dropped it to 1-1-0 on its season-ending three-game California trip.
