Oilers at Blackhawks
The Edmonton Oilers aim for their second three-game winning streak of the young season when they visit the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday. Edmonton, which captured three in a row from Oct. 13-18, topped defending Stanley Cup champion Washington at home on Thursday before registering a 5-3 victory in Nashville two days later.
Leon Draisaitl recorded his second two-goal performance in three games and Drake Caggiula also scored twice Saturday for the Oilers, who have earned points in six of their last seven contests (5-1-1). Chicago had its quest for a season-high third consecutive victory halted Saturday as it suffered a 7-3 setback in St. Louis. Patrick Kane and Artem Anisimov did their part for the Blackhawks as the former scored two goals and set up another while the latter recorded a tally and two assists. Kane leads the NHL with 11 tallies and is riding a five-game point streak during which he has collected six tallies and three assists.

ABOUT THE OILERS (5-3-1): Captain Connor McDavid's fantastic start to the season continued Saturday as he recorded a goal and an assist for his sixth multi-point effort of 2018-19. The 21-year-old two-time reigning Art Ross Trophy winner, who is riding a three-game goal-scoring streak, has landed on the scoresheet in eight of his nine games and tops the team in tallies (seven) and points (16) while sharing the lead in assists. Cam Talbot figures to be back in the crease after giving way on Saturday to Mikko Koskinen, who made his first start in the NHL since Feb. 13, 2011 with the New York Islanders.
ABOUT THE BLACKHAWKS (6-3-2): Kane is well on his way toward eclipsing last season's output of 27 goals, which was the lowest total he recorded while playing 82 games since scoring 23 in 2011-12. Only one of the 29-year-old former Hart Trophy winner's 11 tallies this campaign has come on the power play, leaving him eight shy of 100 for his career in that category. Anisimov notched only two points in five games before his season-high outburst against St. Louis.
OVERTIME
1. Kane is the first Blackhawk to score 11 goals in the team's first 11 games since Bobby Hull accomplished the feat in 1967-68.
2. Edmonton RW Tobias Rieder notched two assists Saturday to give him five in nine contests, but remains in search of his first goal of the season.
3. Chicago captain C Jonathan Toews has recorded just one goal in eight games after scoring five in his first three contests of this campaign.
