Ducks at Jets

THE STORY: The Anaheim Ducks will try to end their futility on the road Saturday when they face off against the Winnipeg Jets at the MTS Centre in Teemu Selanne's return to Manitoba. Anaheim set a dubious franchise record Friday at Chicago, where it suffered its 10th consecutive road loss - eclipsing the previous mark established from Oct. 11-Dec. 11, 2009. The Ducks fell to 2-4-1 under new coach Bruce Boudreau as they began their five-game road trip. Winnipeg, which has won five of its last six games in its own building, is 1-1-0 on its six-game homestand. The Jets have won five of their last seven overall but have dropped two of three.

ABOUT THE DUCKS (9-17-5): Selanne helped Anaheim avoid being shut out for the third time this season as he scored with 1:47 remaining in the third period of Friday's 4-1 loss. It was the 10th goal of the campaign and team-leading 31st point for the "Finnish Flash." The 10th overall pick of the 1988 draft, Selanne posted NHL rookie records with 76 goals and 132 points in 1992-93 for the Jets. The Ducks are 2-4-1 since Boudreau replaced Randy Carlyle as coach. Saku Koivu has missed three straight contests with a groin injury.

ABOUT THE JETS (14-13-4): Antti Miettinen could make his debut Saturday after being claimed off waivers from Tampa Bay on Tuesday. The Lightning had signed the 31-year-old, who began the season in Russia's Kontinental Hockey League, to a two-year, $3 million contract a day earlier. Miettinen has recorded 89 goals and 123 assists in 472 career games with Dallas and Minnesota. D Tobias Enstrom is on track to return two weeks ahead of schedule after suffering a broken collarbone against Florida on Oct. 31. Enstrom has registered six points in 11 contests this season. Carl Klingberg was assigned to St. John's of the AHL on Friday after failing to notch a point in six games with the Jets.

OVERTIME:

1. The Ducks have lost five of their last seven meetings with the Winnipeg franchise, including each of the last three.

2. Anaheim is 0-15-1 this season when trailing after two periods.
