Avalanche at Jets

THE STORY: The Winnipeg Jets have a true home-ice advantage at the MTS Centre, where 15,004 fans cheer from start to finish and provide an intimidating presence for the opponent. In order to reach the Stanley Cup tournament, the Jets will need all the help they can get as they continue their season-high eight-game homestand against the Colorado Avalanche on Sunday. Both teams sit just outside playoff position in their respective conferences.

Goaltender Ondrej Pavelec snapped a two-game losing streak and tied a career high with his 21st victory. Evander Kane leads the Jets with a career-high 21 goals, while Andrew Ladd hasn’t scored in 13 games.
