Flyers at Oilers
THE STORY: The Philadelphia Flyers' high-powered offense is doing its best to bail out the club's sputtering defense. During Tuesday's 5-4 overtime win over the Winnipeg Jets, Philadelphia mustered a franchise road-best 55 shots on goal. The Flyers will look to keep those numbers in flight on Thursday when they continue their four-game, 10-day road trip in Alberta's capital city against the Edmonton Oilers.

ABOUT THE FLYERS (33-19-7): By all accounts, Ilya Bryzgalov's first season in Philadelphia is not going to according to plan. Signed to a nine-year, $51 million deal, Bryzgalov yielded four goals (or more) for the 15th time on Tuesday. Whether he - or Russian compatriot Sergei Bobrovsky - gets the start on Thursday is a mystery. Bryzgalov has won eight of 14 career starts versus the Oilers, while Bobrovsky was victorious in his lone outing against Edmonton.
ABOUT THE OILERS (23-30-6): Devan Dubnyk fared well in place of the injured Nikolai Khabibulin, who is sidelined with a groin injury. Dubnyk stopped 21 shots in Edmonton's 6-1 victory over provincial rival Calgary on Tuesday. The victory was the first by associate coach Ralph Kruger since taking over behind the bench as coach Tom Renney nurses a concussion. C Sam Gagner had a goal and two assists versus Calgary, but has yet to score in four career outings versus the Flyers.
OVERTIME:
1. Jaromir Jagr netted his NHL-best 16th career overtime goal on Tuesday. The 40-year-old has tallied three times in his last two games - and has 33 points in 26 career contests versus Edmonton.
2. The visiting Flyers last defeated the Oilers with a 4-2 triumph on March 19, 2001.
2. Despite being in the league for nearly two years, LW Taylor Hall has yet to face Philadelphia. Hall has three goals and an assist in his last five contests.
