Coyotes at Kings
The Los Angeles Kings look to extend their home winning streak to five games Tuesday, when they host the Pacific Division-rival Phoenix Coyotes for the second time in as many nights. Los Angeles cruised to a 4-0 victory over Phoenix on Monday as Jonathan Quick posted his 25th career shutout and Tyler Toffoli recorded his first NHL points with a power-play goal and an assist. The Kings have won 10 of their last 11 games at the Staples Center, outscoring their opponents 44-20 in the process.
Phoenix has yet to score a goal while going 0-2-1 on its four-game road trip. The Coyotes fell to 3-7-3 away from home, where they've gone four straight contests without a tally. The club has not scored on the road since Kyle Chipchura's empty-netter in the final minute of a 4-2 victory at Vancouver on Feb. 26 - a span of 245 minutes, 23 seconds.

ABOUT THE COYOTES (13-12-4): Phoenix's offensive woes on the road began with a 2-0 loss on March 6 in Anaheim. It kicked off its trek with a 3-0 defeat in St. Louis on Thursday and fell 1-0 in a shootout at Columbus two days later. Despite the scoring struggles, coach Dave Tippett wants his team to remain positive. "We just have to keep pounding away at it and hope we get some luck," he said. "There's not time to get down now. We have to keep pushing forward." Defenseman Zbynek Michalek missed his fourth consecutive game with an ankle injury.
ABOUT THE KINGS (16-10-2): Toffoli registered three shots over 12:18 of ice time in his second NHL game. He was well-received by the Staples Center crowd, which gave him a standing ovation after his goal. "It was incredible," the 20-year-old said of the reaction. "I didn't expect that. I just had goosebumps, and it was a great feeling." Jeff Carter snapped a four-game goal-scoring drought but has tallied 12 times in his last 15 contests.
OVERTIME
1. The Coyotes are the first team to be shut out in four consecutive road games since the 1967-68 Oakland Seals.
2. Los Angeles has played 22 straight contests that ended in regulation, its longest such stretch since a 22-game run from Jan. 27-March 14, 2003.
3. The Kings are 2-0-0 on their five-game homestand.
