Stars at Ducks
After posting an emphatic victory in the first contest of their non-traditional three-game series with the Dallas Stars, the Anaheim Ducks look to carry that success to the Honda Center on Wednesday. Viktor Fasth turned aside all 26 shots he faced and Bobby Ryan collected a goal and an assist in Anaheim's 4-0 win on Monday. The Ducks, who sit four points behind Western Conference-leading Chicago, will host the Stars again on Friday as part of their five-game homestand.
Dallas made some news on Tuesday by sending leading scorer Jaromir Jagr to Boston and Derek Roy to Vancouver in separate deals. The 41-year-old Jagr collected 14 goals and 12 assists in 34 games while Roy, 29, tallied four times and set up 18 scores in 30 contests with the Stars. Dallas, which has dropped three of its last four, also made a minor deal in acquiring defenseman Cameron Gaunce from Colorado for forward Tomas Vincour.

ABOUT THE STARS (16-16-3): With a pair of veterans walking out the door, Dallas is expected to get significantly younger in the exchange. For Jagr, the Stars acquired a conditional second-round pick in the 2013 draft - as well as young forwards Lane MacDermid and Cody Payne. For Roy, Dallas also received Vancouver's second-round pick in the draft along with defenseman Kevin Connauton.
ABOUT THE DUCKS (24-7-5): While Fasth posted his third shutout, Jonas Hiller may get the nod on Wednesday. The 31-year-old Swiss netminder turned aside 33 shots in Anaheim's 2-1 shootout victory on March 14. Captain Ryan Getzlaf, who scored in the bonus format of that contest, recorded a pair of assists on Monday to increase his total to 28. Linemate Corey Perry collected his third goal in five contests.
OVERTIME
1. Anaheim C Saku Koivu has been held off the scoresheet in each of his last five games. The 38-year-old Finn is one point shy of 800 for his career.
2. Dallas G Kari Lehtonen finished with 26 saves on Monday.
3. Anaheim has dropped three straight decisions at the Honda Center.
