Jets at Flyers
The Winnipeg Jets attempt to extend their winning streak to three games on Friday morning, when they face the host Philadelphia Flyers for the second time in two weeks. Winnipeg skated to a 3-2 shootout victory over the Flyers in Manitoba on Nov. 15 to cap a run of four straight triumphs before tumbling in its next four contests. The Jets answered that slide by beginning their six-game road trip with a 3-1 win over New Jersey on Monday and claiming a 3-2 triumph over the New York Islanders two nights later.
After reaching the NHL's version of .500 with a spirited 6-0-1 stretch, Philadelphia has dropped its last two contests - including a 4-2 decision in Vincent Lecavalier's return to Tampa Bay on Wednesday. The former Lightning captain scored on the power play, marking the eighth straight game in which the Flyers have tallied with the man advantage. Lecavalier has two goals and two assists in his last five contests.

ABOUT THE JETS (12-11-4): Dustin Byfuglien has torched the Flyers dating back to his time with the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2010 Stanley Cup final. The hulking defenseman scored a pair of power-play goals in the last meeting with Philadelphia. Devin Setoguchi, who added an assist in that game, has scored a goal in each of his last two contests.
ABOUT THE FLYERS (10-12-2): The top line of captain Claude Giroux, Jakub Voracek and Scott Hartnell mustered all of three shots and a minus-2 rating versus Tampa Bay. "Not very good," coach Craig Berube said of the trio's performance. "Like a lot of other guys, didn't do a good enough job. They've got to lead the way. Didn't make enough plays. They ended up frustrated." Berube also took issue with Giroux and Voracek failing to backcheck on Ondrej Palat's short-handed goal in the second period that put the Flyers in a 2-0 hole.
