Sabres at Flyers
The Philadelphia Flyers attempt to halt their four-game slide (0-2-2) when they host the Buffalo Sabres on Sunday. Philadelphia fell to 1-4-2 in its last seven contests with Saturday's 5-2 loss at Boston, remaining four points behind the second-place New York Rangers in the Metropolitan Division and two ahead of Columbus. Wayne Simmonds' power-play goal late in the second period ended the Flyers' scoring drought at 165 minutes, 1 second.
The league-worst Sabres have lost two straight and six of their last seven (1-5-1). After topping New Jersey in a shootout on Tuesday, Buffalo battled St. Louis and Detroit hard in the first two contests of its three-game road trip but dropped 2-1 and 3-2 decisions, respectively. The Flyers look to complete a sweep of the three-game season series after outscoring the Sabres 8-4 in two victories.
