Blues at Predators

The St. Louis Blues attempt to even the season series at two wins apiece when they visit the Nashville Predators in the opener of their four-game road trip Tuesday. St. Louis has dropped two of the three one-goal decisions between the Central Division rivals, including a 4-3 setback in Nashville on Dec. 4. The Blues halted a four-game slide (0-3-1) with a 3-0 triumph over Colorado on Monday as Martin Brodeur extended a pair of NHL records with his 691st victory and 125th shutout.

Nashville is coming off a 5-4 shootout loss at Chicago on Monday. The Predators squandered a 3-0 lead and allowed the tying goal with 1:13 remaining in the third period before falling to 4-2 in the bonus format this season. James Neal scored a pair of goals in the loss as Nashville dropped to 11-4-1 in its last 16 contests.

ABOUT THE BLUES (22-11-3): St. Louis won Monday's game but lost Chris Porter in the process. The 30-year-old left wing suffered a left leg injury when he got tangled up with Colorado defenseman Nick Holden in the second period and will be re-evaluated in six weeks. Vladimir Tarasenko scored his 22nd goal Monday, eclipsing his previous career high set last season.

ABOUT THE PREDATORS (23-9-3): Nashville swapped forwards Monday, sending veteran Derek Roy to Edmonton for fellow center Mark Arcobello. The 26-year-old Arcobello recorded seven goals and five assists in 36 games with the Oilers this season after notching four tallies and 18 points in 41 contests as a rookie in 2013-14. Roy had been assigned to Milwaukee of the American Hockey League prior to the deal.
