Jets at Flames
The Calgary Flames look to put a quick end to their skid when they kick off a four-game homestand against the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday. Calgary began the month with a seven-game winning streak that included a perfect five-game string at home before enduring a lost weekend, falling in St. Louis on Saturday and Detroit the following day to finish 2-2-0 on a four-game trek.
The Flames scored only twice in three of the four road games after netting at least four tallies in each of the five contests at Scotiabank Saddledome during their run of success. Winnipeg has lost three of its last four games, including a 3-1 decision at Edmonton on Monday in the opener of its two-game trip to Alberta. The Jets have dropped four in a row on the road, scoring a total of five goals and only two in the last three setbacks. Winnipeg posted a 3-1 victory at home in the first of its three meetings with Calgary this season, with Blake Wheeler and Bryan Little each recording a goal and an assist.

ABOUT THE JETS (15-16-2): Little has begun to find his scoring touch, recording three goals in his last two games after scoring just once in his previous 12 contests. The 28-year-old native of Edmonton netted Winnipeg's lone tally against the Oilers on Monday to raise his season total to a team-leading 13 and move closer to a third consecutive 20-goal campaign. Wheeler, who tops the club with 34 points, has collected six in his last three games and landed on the scoresheet in 10 of his last 12 contests.
ABOUT THE FLAMES (15-16-2): Defenseman Dennis Wideman scored a power-play goal early in the second period Sunday, ending Calgary's 0-for-23 drought. The Flames rank last in the NHL on the man advantage with an 11 percent success rate, going 11-for-100 with nine different players recording a goal. They aren't faring any better on the penalty kill, bringing up the rear at 73.6 percent.
