Andrei Loktionov scored the game-winning goal in the third period and Jonathan Bernier made 22 saves to lead the visiting Los Angeles Kings to a 4-1 comeback victory over the Washington Capitals on Saturday afternoon.
Anze Kopitar, Michal Handzus and Jarret Stoll also scored for the Capitals, who broke a 1-1 tie with three goals in the third period.
Alexander Ovechkin opened the scoring when he burst into the Los Angeles zone and ripped a wrist shot past Bernier at 1:06 of the first period for his 21st goal of the campaign.
Kopitar tied the game by banging in a rebound from the top of the crease for his 17th goal of the season at 10:41 of the second session.
Loktionov scored his third goal of the season from Kyle Clifford and Matt Greene at the 3:36 mark of the third period. Handzus then fired his eighth of the year at 12:28 of the period before Stoll added some insurance with his 16th of the season from Justin Williams and Ryan Smyth just over a minute later.
Semyon Varlamov made 24 saves in the loss.
