Red Wings 4, Bruins 2

Todd Bertuzzi recorded his second consecutive two-goal performance as the Detroit Red Wings completed a sweep of their home-and-home series against the Boston Bruins with a 4-2 home victory Sunday.

Pavel Datsyuk and Kris Draper also scored while Jimmy Howard made 23 saves for the Central Division-leading Red Wings, who have won three of their last four games.

After rookie Tyler Seguin gave Boston the lead just 89 seconds into the contest, Bertuzzi stole the puck from Brad Marchand in the right faceoff circle and backhanded it past All-Star Tim Thomas from alone in front at 6:09 to forge a tie.

Marchand atoned for his mistake with a power-play goal later in the first, but Datsyuk and Draper put Detroit back in front with second-period tallies. Bertuzzi added insurance with 6:25 remaining in the third, converting a pass from Johan Franzen during a 2-on-1 to complete his third multi-goal effort of the season.

Bertuzzi also scored twice in Detroit's 6-1 triumph in Boston on Friday.

Michael Ryder notched two assists and Thomas stopped 32 shots for the Bruins, who have dropped three of four overall and lost in regulation on the road for just the second time in 12 games (7-2-3).
