Senators 1, Maple Leafs 0 (SO)

Jason Spezza scored the only goal of the game in the third round of the shootout and new acquisition Craig Anderson stopped 47 shots and three more in the shootout to pace the visiting Ottawa Senators to a 1-0 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday night.

Spezza put a wrist shot under the crossbar for the winning goal and Anderson was sensational in goal all night for the Senators, who snapped a two-game losing streak with the victory.

Anderson came to Ottawa from the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for Brian Elliott on Friday. The netminder made 13 saves in the third period and then stopped four more shots in the extra session in his debut with the Senators.

Rookie James Reimer made 22 saves for the Maple Leafs, who had a two-game winning streak snapped.
