All-Star defenseman Keith Yandle and Taylor Pyatt scored 58 seconds apart in the second period as the visiting Phoenix Coyotes secured their season-best seventh win in a row with a 3-2 triumph over the Nashville Predators on Saturday.
Lauri Korpikoski scored for the second straight contest and Ilya Bryzgalov turned aside 30 shots for Pacific Division-leading Phoenix (32-19-9).
Yandle opened the scoring 3:51 into the second period after wristing a shot through traffic for his 10th of the season. Pyatt didn't waste any time doubling the advantage with a wrist shot of his own for his 15th of the campaign.
After Sergei Kostitsyn put the Predators on the scoreboard with a power-play tally, Korpikoski regained the two-goal cushion at 7:32 of the third period.
All-Star defenseman Shea Weber netted his 12th of the season with 50 seconds remaining in the third period, but Nashville could not net the equalizer.
New Music City resident Mike Fisher notched an assist for Nashville (31-20-8), which fell to 4-2-1 in its last seven games.
Pekka Rinne turned aside 23 shots to drop to 21-15-6 on the campaign.
