Shane Doan scored 2:41 into overtime as the Phoenix Coyotes extended their winning streak to a season-high eight games with a 3-2 victory over the host Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday night.
Ilya Bryzgalov turned aside 37 shots and Eric Belanger and Taylor Pyatt scored third-period goals as the Coyotes registered their sixth consecutive one-goal victory.
Philadelphia’s Claude Giroux had sent the game into overtime when he beat Bryzgalov with 1:13 to play in regulation.
Bryzgalov has been in goal for each of the wins on the current streak, allowing just 13 goals.
Rookie Sergei Bobrovsky made 26 saves in suffering his fourth loss in six games for the Eastern Conference-leading Flyers, who lead Pittsburgh by six points in the Atlantic Division.
Ville Leino put the Flyers ahead 1-0 at 6:24 of the opening period and the lead held up until Belanger beat Bobrovsky at the 2:44 mark of the third. Pyatt scored less than eight minutes later.
