Sharks 4, Flames 3 (SO)

Ryane Clowe scored the equalizer late in regulation and added the lone shootout goal as the San Jose Sharks beat the host Calgary Flames 4-3 Friday for their sixth consecutive victory.

Calgary was poised to win for the fourth time in five games until Clowe evened the score with 2:34 left in the third period. After he beat Flames netminder Miikka Kiprusoff in the third round of the shootout, Calgary's Olli Jokinen was stopped by San Jose goaltender Antti Niemi to end the game.

Devin Setoguchi and Kyle Wellwood added regulation goals for the Sharks, who completed a perfect 3-0 road trip. Setoguchi now has seven goals in his last six games after scoring just six times in his previous 24 outings.

Anton Babchuk, David Moss and Niklas Hagman answered for the Flames, who have dropped two straight. Kiprusoff made 30 saves in defeat, while Niemi stopped 21 shots to preserve the victory.
