Maple Leafs 4, Sabres 3
Phil Kessel and Mikhail Grabovski each had a goal and an assist as the Toronto Maple Leafs rallied for a 4-3 victory over the visiting Buffalo Sabres on Saturday night.
Rookie goaltender James Reimer turned aside 39 shots in what was a must win for Toronto, which pulled within four points of the Sabres for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
Clarke MacArthur and Tyler Bozak also scored for the Maple Leafs, who beat Buffalo for just the second time in the last 11 meetings at Air Canada Centre.
Mike Weber, Jochen Hecht and Jordan Leopold scored goals and Ryan Miller made 25 saves as the Sabres finished 4-2-1 on their seven-game road trip.
Buffalo unloaded 20 of its 32 shots on Reimer in the second period and got goals from Hecht and Leopold to take a 3-2 lead into the final period.
Grabovski scored the equalizer at 4:03 and Kessel delivered the game-winner 2 ½ minutes later.
