Senators 3, Lightning 2 (OT)

Jason Spezza scored at 3:28 of overtime as the Ottawa Senators rallied to jolt the visiting Tampa Bay Lightning 3-2 on Saturday night.

Ryan Shannon and Nick Foligno scored in a span of 3:38 in the third period as the Senators erased a two-goal deficit to hand Tampa Bay its second straight loss.

Captain Vincent Lecavalier and rookie Dana Tyrell scored goals for the Lightning (39-22-11), who blew a chance to move into a tie with Pittsburgh for fourth place in the Eastern Conference.

With Tampa Bay leading 2-0 and on the power play, Shannon cut the deficit in half with just over 7 1/2 minutes to play. It was the league-worst 13th shorthanded goal allowed by the Lightning.

Foligno tied it at 16:05 by beating Dwayne Roloson, who made 31 saves in falling to 1-6-1 in his last eight against the Senators (27-36-9).

Curtis McElhinney turned aside 35 shots in improving to 3-0 with Ottawa.
