Ducks 4, Flames 2

Corey Perry tallied twice and leads the NHL with 46 tallies this season as the Anaheim Ducks skated to a 4-2 road triumph over the Calgary Flames on Wednesday.

Defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky collected a goal and an assist and Bobby Ryan added a power-play tally for Anaheim (44-28-5), which moved past the Nashville Predators (41-26-10) for sixth place in the Western Conference standings. The Ducks have won three in a row and nine of their last 11 games.

Ray Emery turned aside 23 shots to improve to 6-0-0 on the season.

After captain Jarome Iginla recorded his seventh goal in six games to open the scoring, Ryan tallied on a wraparound and rookie defenseman Cam Fowler's blast from just inside the blue line deflected off Perry to stake the Ducks to a 2-1 lead.

Visnovsky doubled the advantage with 69 seconds remaining in the second period and tied a franchise record for goals by a defenseman in the process.

Defenseman Mark Giordano collected a goal and an assist and Alex Tanguay also set up a pair of tallies for Calgary (38-29-11), which remained three points behind the eighth-place Chicago Blackhawks (41-27-8) in the Western Conference standings.

Miikka Kiprusoff finished with 18 saves to fall to 11-8-3 in his career against the Ducks.
