Sharks 4, Ducks 2
Devin Setoguchi's power-play goal with 5:21 left in the third period snapped a tie and Patrick Marleau scored twice as the San Jose Sharks erased a two-goal deficit to defeat the visiting Anaheim Ducks 4-2 on Saturday.
Antti Niemi made 20 saves in his 33rd straight start for the Sharks (46-23-9), who are 7-0-1 in their last eight games and maintained their one-point lead over the Detroit Red Wings for second in the Western Conference.
Niemi is 24-4-4 during his streak.
The Ducks (44-29-5), who had won seven of their last eight, remain seventh in the Western Conference, four points clear of ninth-place Calgary and six in front of 10th-place Dallas, which visits Anaheim on Sunday.
Dany Heatley and Marleau scored in the second period after the Ducks had taken a 2-0 lead in the first. Marleau added an empty-netter with 41 seconds left.
Heatley scored on a backhander along the ice at 2:01, while Marleau's 36th of the season came at 12:25 after he beat Ray Emery with a deke and a backhander.
Bobby Ryan's 34th of the season at 3:21 was the result of a perfect goal-mouth pass by Corey Perry, and Lubomir Visnovsky scored on the power play at 11:15 of the first to give Anaheim a 2-0 lead.
Visnovsky, who leads NHL defensemen with 65 points, set a franchise record for goals by a defenseman in a season with 17.
Perry assisted on both goals and has an eight-game point streak (10 goals, 16 points).
