Penguins 3, Lightning 2 (2OT)

James Neal scored his first career playoff goal at 3:38 of the second overtime, giving the fourth-seeded Pittsburgh Penguins a 3-2 road victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 4 of their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series.

Neal received the puck from Jordan Staal along the right wing boards and swept the puck past Dwayne Roloson and off the far post, giving the Penguins a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series.

Tyler Kennedy and Arron Asham also scored while Marc-Andre Fleury made 29 saves for the Penguins, who can advance to the conference semifinals with a victory in Game 5 at home on Saturday afternoon.

Martin St. Louis notched a goal and an assist, Sean Bergenheim also tallied and Roloson stopped 50 shots for Tampa Bay, which has lost six of its last seven home playoff games.

Scoreless on 15 power-play opportunities over the first three games of the series, Pittsburgh finally cashed in at 8:14 of the first period to take a 1-0 lead as Kennedy beat Roloson with a wrist shot from the left faceoff dot.

Asham doubled the advantage early in the second, firing a shot from the high slot past Roloson at 2:39 for his third goal of the playoffs. But St. Louis halved the deficit late in the session with his fourth tally and Bergenheim forged a 2-2 tie with 3:17 remaining in the third, burying a loose puck during a goalmouth scramble.
