Ducks 4, Blues 2

Bobby Ryan scored twice and Hart Trophy winner Corey Perry had a goal as the Anaheim Ducks exploded for three goals in the third period en route to a 4-2 victory over the visiting St. Louis Blues on Sunday.

The Ducks (3-1-0), who scored three goals in their first three games, have won three straight and are off to their best start since their Stanley Cup winning season of 2006-07.

Patrik Berglund and Alexander Steen scored for the Blues (2-3-0), who were 0 for 4 on the power play and are 1 for 20 this season.

Anaheim’s top line of Ryan Getzlaf (two assists), Perry and Ryan combined for six points after not recording one in the first three games.

Ryan assisted on Francois Beauchemin’s goal 1:31 into the third period which put Anaheim ahead 2-1. Perry scored 2:09 later, the Ducks’ first power-play goal of the season on their 16th try, to make it 3-1.

Jonas Hiller made 28 saves for the Ducks.

Perry, who also won the Rocket Richard Trophy last season as the top goal scorer with 50, was honored before the game.
