Blackhawks 5, Predators 4 (OT)

Viktor Stalberg's goal 2:18 into overtime lifted the Chicago Blackhawks past the visiting Nashville Predators 5-4 Monday night.

Stalberg faked out a Nashville defenseman, cutting inside before hesitating and rifling a wrist shot past Predators netminder Pekka Rinne to help Chicago remain unbeaten at home in regulation this season (5-0-2).

After Nashville went ahead for the third time in the game late in the second period, Patrick Kane's second goal of the night erased the deficit at 4:57 of the third. His quick wrist shot slipped between the arm and pad of Rinne for his third point of the contest.

Chicago's Bryan Bickell and Nashville's David Legwand traded goals 1:39 apart later in the session, and the teams remained deadlocked despite exchanging quality scoring chances for the remainder of the third period

Patric Hornqvist finished with a pair of goals for the Predators while Craig Smith also scored.

Nick Leddy had the other regulation goal for the Blackhawks, who lost franchise defenseman Duncan Keith to an upper-body injury in the second period. He did not return and will be re-evaluated Tuesday.
