Erik Cole and Andrei Kostitsyn scored exactly three minutes apart in the second period as the Montreal Canadiens recorded their fourth straight victory with a 2-1 road triumph over the Ottawa Senators on Friday.

Carey Price collected his fifth straight win in Canada's capital city after turning aside 33 shots. With the triumph, Price improved to 9-5-0 in his career against the Senators.

After a scoreless first period, the Canadiens finally drew first blood midway through the second. Michael Cammalleri forced a turnover and unleashed a shot which was denied by Craig Anderson, but Cole followed with a wrister from a sharp angle for his third goal in five games.

Kostitsyn doubled the advantage after taking advantage of Senators defenseman Erik Karlsson's turnover and wristing a shot past Anderson for his fourth goal of the season.

Zack Smith netted a shorthanded goal for Ottawa, which has dropped two in a row after winning six straight games.

Anderson finished with 24 saves.
