Devils 3, Jets 2 (OT)

Adam Henrique scored his second goal of the game in overtime and Martin Brodeur made 21 saves to secure his first win of the season as the New Jersey Devils edged the visiting Winnipeg Jets 3-2 on Saturday.

Patrik Elias added his sixth tally for the Devils, who have won back-to-back contests following a three-game slide.

After failing to convert a power play at the beginning of overtime, Henrique found himself on a breakaway just as the man advantage ended. The rookie center streaked in and wristed a shot past Ondrej Pavelec on the glove side.

Brodeur, who suffered a shoulder injury on Oct. 13 and had started only once since, appeared to be fully healthy against the Jets. The future Hall of Famer helped kill off three penalties, including one in the third period in which Winnipeg sent a flurry of shots on goal.

The Devils could not clear the puck late in the third, leaving the door open for Winnipeg. The Jets got away with a hook in the New Jersey zone and Jim Slater ended up with the puck, wristing it past Brodeur from the right side with 2:45 left in regulation to knot it 2-2.

Pavelec made 25 saves for Winnipeg.
