Blackhawks 4, Flames 1

Defensemen Duncan Keith and Brent Seabrook scored their respective first goals of the season as the Chicago Blackhawks recorded a 4-1 victory over the visiting Calgary Flames on Friday.

Viktor Stalberg added his fourth goal and Ray Emery made 24 saves for the Blackhawks, who have won back-to-back contests following a three-game slide.

Chicago jumped on top with 7:51 left in the first period thanks to Keith, who was playing in his 500th career NHL game. Patrick Sharp took a hard shot from the left point that resulted in a long rebound, where Keith was waiting to blast the puck past Miikka Kiprusoff.

The Blackhawks made it 2-0 with 7:49 left in the second. On the power play, Marian Hossa worked it back to Seabrook at the blue line. The hulking defenseman wound up and slapped a shot through traffic and past a screened Kiprusoff.

The Flames pulled within one in the third on Olli Jokinen’s fourth goal, but Stalberg tallied with 3:11 remaining to put it away for Chicago.

Patrick Kane chipped in an empty-netter and Sharp finished with three assists.

Calgary has dropped three of four, totaling four goals in that span.
