Maple Leafs 7, Lightning 1

Tyler Bozak scored twice and added an assist as the Toronto Maple Leafs throttled the host Tampa Bay Lightning 7-1 on Tuesday night.

Tim Connolly added a goal and two assists for the Maple Leafs, who have just two wins in their past six games but managed to score seven times in each of them. Tampa has dropped four of its last five contests.

With the clubs tied 1-1, Toronto took charge late in the first period after Tampa Bay blue liner Victor Hedman was given a four-minute double-minor for high-sticking MacArthur. Connolly directed a Nikolai Kulemin slap between Dwayne Roloson's legs to make it 2-1, and with Toronto enjoying a two-man advantage moments later, Bozak extended the lead by banging home a rebound of a Phil Kessel shot.

Joe Colborne made it 4-1 with his first career NHL goal, tapping in a Matt Frattin behind-the-back pass with Roloson out of position.

Bozak's second of the night came on a rare 3-on-3 exchange 3:07 into the third period. Roloson played the puck off the back boards but it landed right on Bozak's stick, and he tucked it easily into the open net.

Joffrey Lupul and Joey Crabb added goals later in the period.
