Jets 5, Ducks 3
Defenseman Zach Bogosian scored a goal and set up two others as the Winnipeg Jets spoiled Teemu Selanne's return to Manitoba with a 5-3 home victory over the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday.
Kyle Wellwood added a tally and an assist while Blake Wheeler, Alexander Burmistrov and captain Andrew Ladd also scored for the Jets, who have won six of seven at home.
Selanne, who spent the first 3 1/2 seasons of his career in Winnipeg beginning in 1992, notched two assists for the Ducks.
Corey Perry scored twice and captain Ryan Getzlaf set up a pair of goals for Anaheim, which extended a franchise record with its 11th consecutive road loss.
Selanne received a rousing ovation as he saluted the crowd after being named the game's third star.
Wellwood and Wheeler scored 85 seconds apart early in the first, but Niklas Hagman and Perry answered later in the period to forge a 2-2 tie. Burmistrov put Winnipeg ahead for good 31 seconds into the middle session and Ladd tallied late in the period before Bogosian made it 5-2 with a slap shot from the right point at 2:49 of the third.
Defenseman Tobias Enstrom notched an assist in his return from a broken collarbone and Chris Mason made 33 saves for Winnipeg, which is 2-1-0 on its six-game homestand and has won six of eight overall.
